I'd like to take this moment to introduce a new non-profit organization of bow makers and luthiers. The Northeast Guild of Archetiers & Luthiers (NEGAL).
Founded in 2005 to provide the musical community with a standard of work and expertise upon which it could depend. Members include some of the finest makers, dealers, and restorers in the North Eastern United States and Canada. The Guild has relaxed requirements for membership. Aside from submitting an example of his or her work for review, a prospective member must have at least two years of experience in the profession -- including a few years of informal apprenticeship and training in aspects of the making, repair, and restoration of fine instruments and bows.
join today for FREE!
If you sign up as a NEGAL member today, your first year's membership will be free (a $275 value).
Members receive the quarterly NEGAL newsletter, contest winners are featured in the Fall issue with picture, and will also be featured on the website and all other areas. Members receive their own page on the NEGAL website (under construction). There's lots more. Send us an email with your name, address, phone number, website (here: northeastguild@gmail.com) and we will be in touch.
Thank you!
