Guitar players and there damn distortion pedals..

Why is it that guitar players can never go two measures without using distortion? Its as if they think there music will lack substance and meaning without it. Not that I don't like distortion, I'm just saying. Just a thought.

Actually,its not that easy to just plug into a distortion...tho the first impression is that the intonation becomes a less worry,there are more to it.
The real nightmare for a lot of guitarist that I know is when we "the stringed" ones :) plug in one of their processors ;)
