Actually,its not that easy to just plug into a distortion...tho the first impression is that the intonation becomes a less worry,there are more to it. The real nightmare for a lot of guitarist that I know is when we "the stringed" ones :) plug in ...

Personal Statement or Biography
Hey there, I'm a local gigging electric Bassist for a band called Sanu in San Marcos California. I'm 24 years old and I am currently learning to play the cello. Lack of time is making it difficult., but I plan to one day make a full transition to cello and am attempting to get back to school as soon as possible. Am currently looking for a teacher in the North County San Diego area. I also have a budding interest in Reptiles/Herpetology/Veterinary Medicine. I work as a Vet Technician for a mobile vaccination clinic.

Musical Taxonomy/A Cladistic approach...

Well, I just want to get this idea out there. I thought I'd dabble in Ethno-musicology at one point. I'm really into Evolutionary Biology, and I made an observation regarding the taxonomy of music, and its flaws. I think i've come up with a better system. In the past, taxonomy employed a system called Linnaen taxonomy. A brief description from wikipedia:
